OpsLab Awarded First U.S. Navy Contract

Company’s marquee product, SkySchedule, will support F-18 squadron at Naval Air Station Oceana

AUSTIN, Texas -- OpsLab, the OS for Air Power, announced today that it has been awarded its first contract from the U.S. Navy. Under the terms of the contract, OpsLab will deploy its marquee automated flight operations platform, SkySchedule, to Sailors supporting the world’s largest F/A-18E/F squadron at Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

The award marks a significant milestone for OpsLab, representing the company’s first official expansion beyond the U.S. Air Force - where SkySchedule is currently deployed across more than 70 squadrons - and into a new branch of the U.S. military. Navy end users at NAS Oceana will join the already 3,000+ warfighters across the Department of War who rely on OpsLab’s software to plan, execute, and optimize daily flight operations.

SkySchedule leverages operations research and artificial intelligence to eliminate the guesswork from squadron operations by automatically generating forward-looking flight schedules, instantly adapting to disruptions, predicting critical resource deficits, and streamlining logistics. The platform has been proven to save more than 200 aircrew hours per squadron per month, directly improving mission readiness and operational effectiveness.

“We are incredibly proud to bring SkySchedule to the U.S. Navy,” said Arun Nair, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of OpsLab. “After years of proven success across dozens of Air Force squadrons, this contract validates what we’ve always believed: that our platform can enhance operational readiness for any flying organization in the U.S. military. We look forward to working alongside the Sailors at NAS Oceana to deliver the same transformative efficiencies that our Air Force users have come to depend on.”

This contract validates OpsLab's ability to scale across service branches and adapt to diverse operational requirements," said Dennis Muilenburg, former CEO of Boeing and OpsLab advisor. "The transition from Air Force to Navy represents more than market expansion, it demonstrates that SkySchedule's automation capabilities are essential for modern military aviation across all domains. I'm confident this is just the beginning of OpsLab's growth within Naval aviation."

OpsLab’s solutions, built with operations research and machine learning, tackle reactive and predictive aspects of problems like scheduling, routing, and dispatch, and automate the most complex parts of solving such problems. These solutions are not hypothetical, they’re proven. OpsLab is actively supporting the U.S. military through multiple contracts and active implementations across numerous installations worldwide.
